When should I book my travel?
Make your arrangements to fly out on September 28. There may be 1-2 connecting flights, so making arrangements to get to Nairobi earlier is encouraged when we begin the tour on September 30.
What service projects would we be doing?
This varies on every tour. We have done everything from ribbon cuttings on brand new water tanks we have sponsored to painting black board walls to funding libraries. Be prepared to bring clothes you’re comformtable having covered in dirt and paint so you can be ready for the unexpected.
Of all the recommended vaccinations, what are the ones I must get before traveling?
At the very least, you need to get prevention for Malaria, but you can do the pill form of it. You should start taking the pills at least 2 days before traveling. Where we are going, most of the medications recommended to you will not be required, but you can always refer to your doctor if there are any shots they recommend you should get to boost your immunity.
Will there be a photographer?
Yes, there will be local photographers and videographers there to capture photos and videos along the entire trip.
Do I need to apply for a VISA before arriving?
Yes, you must apply for your visitation visa at least 2 weeks prior to your scheduled travel, as Kenya does not allow you to apply for a VISA at the border of entry. Visit https://etakenya.go.ke/en to apply today.
How close can my passport be to expiration for me to travel?
It must not expire within 6 months of your planned travel. If you need to renew your passport, visit https://www.rushmypassport.com/.
Does The Cost of My Investment Include My Roundtrip Flight to Kenya?
No, the investment covers the cost for your food, in-country fligths, and hotel stays, but it does NOT include your flight from where you live to Kenya and back.
If I have paid in full, but something comes up where I am unable to attend the designated trip, what would the next steps look like?
If something comes up in your personal life where you are unable to come on the Kenya trip you were designated to participate in, then we can give you a credit for the next tour or come up with another solution together.
